Accessibility
Searles Leisure Resort welcomes people with disabilities and has developed this access statement to address some of the issues disabled people may face. Recognition has been given to include guests with impairments, which could include mobility, sight, hearing, learning disabilities or any hidden impairment.
We aim to ensure all employees, guests and others who use the resort are treated equally and according to their needs.
Pre Arrival
Before arriving at the resort, guests should where possible make the resort aware of any needs or difficulties they may have.
Arrival
The resort main entrance is located on South Beach Road; there is level access from the road, along the driveway and into the automatic front doors of the Reception. There is always a member of staff available for any assistance which may be required.
Reception
Check in at Reception has seats available should this be more convenient for the guest. All resort staff are able to assist with evacuation in case of an emergency.
Public Areas
The public areas including the bars, restaurants, La Piazza, arcades, sports bar and swimming pools are all located on the ground floor.
Public WC’s
Accessible toilets are located in the Club house, and various toilets blocks on the park, these are accessible with a Radar key (which can be obtained from reception, level access is provided or ramps. All are fitted with grab rails and alarms.
Baby changing facilities are also located in the accessible WC’s.
Guest Accommodation
We have four disabled friendly units these come with extra features to assist your access and comfort. These units come with ramped access, these units have been designed with wide entrance doors, low level light switches, power socket by the bed and transfer space. Bathrooms provide level entry showers with grab rails and fold down seats, please call for our fully detailed disabled friendly brochure for specific needs. In addition to these four homes we also have a selection of various homes with just ramp access.
Swimming Pools
Our indoor swimming pool is fitted with a hoist, please ask a member of the team to assist you if you need assistance getting in and out of the pool.
Guide Dogs
Guide and disabled dogs are welcome in all our venues including accommodation, please inform reception at time of booking.
Dietary Needs
Special allergy and dietary requirements can be catered for, please enquire when booking.
Every effort will be made to ensure you have a comfortable visit. If you have any special requirements which are not listed above, do not hesitate to contact us. For guests staying at the Resort we will ensure you are fully aware of any emergency procedures and your requirements are taken into account.
