It's been a memorable year here at Searles. A year which saw us crowned the AA Holiday Centre of the Year, and also the opening of our amazing refurbished indoor pool.
It's also been a year where thousands of holidaymakers stayed at Searles Leisure Resort, making memories that we hope will last a lifetime.
To commemorate what has been a very special year for everyone involved in the Searles family, we've taken a look back at some of the highlights of 2019.
The Refurbishment of our Indoor Pool
Our heated indoor pool is always one of the biggest attractions at Searles with young and old holidaymakers alike. This year the pool got even better as we unveiled our refurbished indoor pool in February. The refurbished pool features artwork inspired by the local area, including a huge mural of the Hunstanton Cliffs.
Sidney the Sealion’s Makeover
2019 also brought a makeover for Searles favourite, Sidney the Sealion. As a fixture on the Searles entertainment circuit, Sidney was in desperate need of a well-earned break. After checking himself into celebrity bootcamp, Sidney the Sealion returned with a fresh new look, much to the delight of his friends Cherry the Chipmunk and Leo the Lion, and all the guests here at Searles.
The AA Holiday Centre of the Year Award
The biggest news for us here at Searles came in March when we were awarded the prestigious AA Holiday Centre of the Year award. The award recognises the "very best caravan, camping, glamping and motorhome sites across the country", and is regarded as the highest distinction in the holiday parks industry.

David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award
2019 also brought another distinction to Searles, as we were awarded the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for the 22nd year. The award recognised our continued commitment to maintaining a green holiday park by encouraging the protection of the local environment, including plant life and the local wildlife, as well as the progress we have made in conserving energy, water and other resources.
Everyone at Searles was saddened to hear of the recent passing of David Bellamy, and we extend our warmest sympathies to his family and loved ones.

The Searles Soapbox Derby
In September, the hugely popular Soapbox Derby returned to the streets of Hunstanton, an event which Searles were delighted to sponsor again for the second year running.

Looking Forward to 2020
There is so much to look forward to at Searles Leisure Resort in 2019. To begin with, we can’t wait to unveil our new Elite Plus Hemsworth a spacious, light and airy holiday home, which combines modern living with style and comfort. The Hemsworth sleeps 4 & 6 and is a luxurious addition to our fleet of holiday homes. \
