Our new mural in Sidney’s Indoor Play Zone was painted by Jacky a talented member of the Searles Sales Team.
Born in the 70's in Newham and raised in Essex, Jacky spent a decade in the Midlands after completing a BA in Fine Art and a stint in Brighton before currently residing on the North Norfolk coast.
Her work is describable as illustrative and abstract. She has recently opened her own gallery -The Wild Gallery at The Old Boathouse Café, Old Hunstanton, Norfolk where her love of colour, whimsy, cartoons, the animal kingdom, graffiti, folklore, nature and too much more to mention are all recognizable throughout the many layers of her paintings.
Jacky tends to work on a larger scale also designing and painting murals whenever the opportunity occurs . Over the past 20 years she has been commissioned to design and paint murals at a variety of establishments throughout the UK. Jacky is currently planning a series of far smaller pieces using inks and watercolours inspired by a recent adventure in Vietnam and forthcoming trip to Sri Lanka.
After completing an MA in 2008, Jacky expanded into short film. The stylized multi layered imagery lends itself really well to the medium of film and they have been successfully shown at a variety of sports and music events and projected onto the exterior of local iconic landmarks.
